Belgium beat Japan 3-2 to set up quarter-final clash with Brazil
What a match! Heartbreak for Japan. Favourites Belgium came from two-goal deficit to beat Japan 3-2 in their last 16 match. Substitute Nacer Chadli scored the last-gasp winner in the 94th minute as the European side set up a mouth-watering quarter-final clash with five-time champions Brazil. Brazil beat Mexico 2-0 earlier in the day.

This match was played in the second half. The first half was a sterile affair, with a lot of shots but no goals to show. It didn?t take long to understand that the second half is a different beast. Genki Haraguchi scored in the 48th minute and Takashi Inui nailed a screamer in the 53rd to put Japan in prime position to land a spot in the quarter-finals. But then, Belgium had other ideas. Jan Vertonghen pulled one back with an utterly ridiculous header. Another header, this time from Marouane Fellaini served as the equaliser and then, Nacer Chadli tapped in the winner after a brilliant counter from Belgium. That was almost the last kick of the ball. Belgium are the first team to come from 2-0 to win a match since Germany in 1970.
